Nurture 2 Hook Lesson
Nurture 2 will be doing their novel study on ‘Owen and the Soldier’ this term so for their hook lesson they became soldiers in the trenches for the morning.
Nurture 2 had to sign up as a soldier and they received a ‘kit bag’ full of things they might need such as spare socks and rations. We explored the items and discussed why they might be needed. Students then took to the front line in an action packed re-enactment with all the sights and sounds of the trenches before finishing with a short viewing of the battle scene from War Horse.
